Not everyone took Acer seriously back in February when they announced that they are entering the mobile phones market but things are staring to get pretty serious now. Three of the dummy models displayed back in Barcelona have just been showcased at Computex and they definitely seem to mean business.

Codenamed Acer F1, the most exciting new device will run on the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. There is still some i-dotting and t-crossing to do there so the launch date in September, promised by Acer is probably the best we could have hoped for.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 Spotted

XPERIA X2A tipster tells us that the device you’re looking at here is Sony Ericsson’s codename “Vulcan” — better known as the X2 — which would presumably replace the X1 at some point in the next few days, weeks, months, or years. Though the picture’s small, you can clearly make out the X Panel button in the lower left of the phone’s front and a Windows key in the upper left of the keyboard, which adds a dose of credibility — the company has, after all, put quite a bit of time and effort into pimping its panel interface SDK, and right now, the X1 is the only device that supports it. The image looks a little rough around the edges, but we can easily chalk that up to this being either a composite mockup or a very early prototype combined with the fact that our tipster seems to have blanked out the surroundings to protect the source. We’re not saying it’s definitely real, but this certainly looks plausible — we’re just not convinced yet that it looks better than the model it’d replace

Nokia seem to be hitting our news section today quite hard. They have just announced that the millionth Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is on its way to the stores.

In an attempt to turn their back to a financially unfavorable year, Nokia announced that their first mass market touchscreen handset 5800 XpressMusic is getting a really warm welcome at its launch n the UK, but even more it coincides with the first million of units sold.

Currently, the most popular phone in our database, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic may be getting a a hearty welcome in the UK where it costs only 249 GBP (around 265 euro) but in the other European countries its price tag is way different closing 400 euro.

The rumored Sony Ericsson Frances has now received a proper name – it will be called Sony Ericsson C903. Much like a slider version of the 5 megapixel Cyber-Shot Filippa, but with GPS receiver.

The competition for leaked upcoming and unannounced phones continues. In this new edition we present you the Sony Ericsson C903, also known under the codename Frances.

The new Cyber-Shot will join the family with 5 megapixel camera, 2.4-inch QVGA screen, GPS and slide design solution. It should be an upgraded version of the SE C901 (Filippa), but there is no info about xenon flash presence. The usual suspect aplications are here: PhotoFix, Face Detection and Smile Shutter.

Wi-Fi connectivity will not be available since C903 will have a lower tag price than the flagman C905.

The official announcement, logically, will be at MWC 2009 and the expected release – in the end of Q2 this year.
